This is a double theatre play by Dimitri Leue (also known from De Kakkewieten and Vaneigens) for HetPaleis. The first part, Zee Majeur, is about a writer, Riaan Tilkin, and his wife who would like to have more of his attention. It is for small children, ages 9 and up. Zee Mineur, the second part, is for older children, ages 14 and up: Tilkin has a writer's block when he is interviewed by a journalist.

Apart from being a wonderful story in the typical Dimitri Leue style, this play has an incredibly cute Tine Reymer as co-actor and music by Tom Pintens.

Hi, I saw the theatershow in December. It was great !! Dimitri Leue & Tine Reymer were really fantastic. I really enjoyed it. There wasn't that much music but I did like the music I heard. (It was only 'background music') I wouldn't go for the music only, but I can tell you it's worth to go !!!

Tom Pintens wrote the music for it... Tine Reymer played in it to and she played with Tom Pintens in Flower for breakfast...

The play consists of two plays, one for smaller children (up to age 12) called Zee Mineur about an author who does nothing but writing and his wife who would like him to do some more talking/loving and less writing, and one for older children (age 16) called Zee Majeur about an author who has a writers block and is helped by a journalist to start loving and writing again. I only saw Zee Majeur (so far) which has also a cool nude scene with Tine Reymer. The music is pretty good, typical Tom Pintens synthesizer bits with some drumtracks, and some singing by Tom and Tine. No live performance, just a tape (or MD or ...) running. There are only five short songs, the longest about two minutes.

I recorded Zee Majeur on MD, if I find some time later I might convert it to MP3 and offer it on some website. BTW, Tom Pintens is working on a personal website himself, but it has been looking just the same for the past few months, like something written in Word on no more than 10 minutes work. See it (and some beautiful promises) at http://users.pandora.be/tom.pintens/

...(in response to Frank - see below) The only reason I am going to remain friendly and not kill you right away is because you have obviously never heard of Dimitri Leue before de Nachten. He is an extremely talented theatre writer and player with a few highly acclaimed pieces to his name so far. His plays have 'love' as a common theme, a good oldfashioned kind of romantic love, but always with a special twist. He has the ability to experiment with language, and he always uses a bizzare kind of logic which has a deeper meaning.

While some people might find it a bit too sugarsweet, most are charmed at least, not to say extremely enthusiastic. It is of course targeted to younger audiences, aged between say 10 and 16, but I'm 23 and I still enjoy the pieces.

The trick with the rabbit was a bit over the hill, but if you know Dimitri and his style it was certainly very funny. I saw it both times, and I think that was enough, but I enjoyed it. It followed the same style as the plays, namely the 'love' theme (it was more about love than about sex) and the silly wordgames with a deeper meaning. I am certain that Dimitri himself saw it more as a way to laugh a bit about himself than as a serious experiment.

If you get a chance to see Zee Mineur/Zee Majeur, certainly do so. It may not be his best play, but it has its charms (not in the least the nude scenes) and it has a nice build-up. Unless you've been happily married for twenty years, you'll probably leave the theatre wondering about a lot of things.

AARGH! NO! NOT THAT GUY! People who were at de Nachten might remember him as the rabbit guy who was on before Mauro. He sucked. "Ik ben een konijn, ik neuk als een trein". Or something. Well, he should get his pointy ears back into his hole. Or hunted down to extinction by royal hunting parties. Or roasted over an open fire! Or.. Ok, sorry, I got a little carried away there. Anyway, my personal advice is: "avoid at all cost". But who knows, maybe others enjoyed it. Then again, some people enjoy Ricky Martin, too.

Despite Frank's description i would really recommend this guy because normally he displays a very nice acting and comedy talent. I missed his act @ De Nachten but i remember him from legendary De Kakkewieten gigs which were absolutely fabulous, so Frank don't judge this guy by this one act ! He can be very brilliant & funny.

by LAURIE FRANSSENS

uuuuuurgh, how can you say that ?!

I think Dimitri Leue is one of the best Flemish theater writers. Really enjoyed his "Kakkewieten"-plays and ofcourse "Zee-Mineur". And -please don't shoot me!- but i just looooooove the peulengaleis things his into.

Can't judge the thing he did at de nachten, as i didn't see it (damn), but if you like his plays you should go take a look @ www.brakkehond.be , and click on "archief". Somewhere you'll find "Maura of de zeven magen der eenzaamheid : blauw naakt". Just to prove that lil' Dimitri roolz..

I would also like to stress the qualities of Leue. First of all there's the stuff most people know him for: "Vaneigens", which i find one of the most difficult forms of televisionmaking there is, in which he's most of the time brilliant. Seccondly, he plays rather well in some televisionseries as well and he was one of the 'highlights' in 'teamspirit', but most of all, there's his plays and acting in the theatre: de kakkewieten indeed to name one, but-and yes call me soft, naieve, oversweet and 'will get disappointerd in life and love with that attitude'- his play 'het kleine sterven' (the little dying a try not to be for three days) een poging om drie dagen niet te zijn, is one of the most beautifull things ever written. Even read this weeks 'Flair' and be amazed how brilliantly he puts theos 'girrlieproblems' down.

But something else: i've just been totaly blown away by my morning jacket. Who knos where i can find chords to their songs (most of all to 'i will be there when you die') or has any of you sweetiepies already tried to figure them out?

by MARIEKE FRANSEN

Oh, hell yeah, I remember vividly him carrying me on stage, dancing with me (and incidently sweating allover me) and chewing on my hair, not to mention the fact that he groped my butt. This was at the kakkewieten concert in Utrecht last year!I won't be a whiney bitch, it was quite funny, and mostly harmless (and he probably picked me because I was the only woman in the venue smaller then he is!:-))). Still, not exactly his most cultural moment, just like his gig at "de nachten" which I thought was rather pubescent and corny, especially the cucumber stuffed in his rabbit suit.

But, there's no arguing on taste, and I haven't seen his other work, I might be pleaantly surprised, who's to say. (as long as he keeps his bodily fluids to himself this time:-))))
