SKC's exposition is coming to Brussels, starting 8 november in the gallery Addict; according to the official website it will last for one month, according to the gallery (or actually some artlab) website (www.addict.be), it will stay there untill the 12th of jan; the exhibition opens at 6pm, on the occasion of which Bal des Boiteux (http://www.baldesboiteux.yucom.be/) will perform

The exhibition listens to the name 'Gentle Ruddy Turnstone in an expanding collection of thoughts'™ and will take place in TENT. (Rotterdam). It will include not only paintings and drawings (according to SKC himself: almost cartoons) but also performances, dance, music, installations and live-gigs (note: in dutch, there is "optredens" and it can mean both "gigs" and "performances", i just translated it as gig in a way of wishful thinking, I´m not sure about this). Stef Kamil Carlens will be in person in Rotterdam and during the first week bof the exposition he´ll be working ´live´ on different locations in Rotterdam (according to other sources, he´ll keep on doing this until the 27th of sep). The opening of the exposition will take place op 20 September 2001 and will stay in TENT for about three weeks (untill the 14th of October).

SKC compares Ruddy in his paintings to what Josie is in his lyrics : "an always returning fiction character, but the difference is that I´ve never had to ask myself how Josie´s actually looking. Ruddy Turnstone's hair is always straight up. Actually, my drawings are really naive, they could be the drawings of a child. Our music is naive as well, maybe recently not anymore."
