I'm right back from the Zita Swoon perf at De Kreun in Kortrijk, and I can't say anything but : WOOOOW ! Stef's voice ! The guitars ! Aarich ! It was truly amazing, I hadn't seen them since their Nov. 97 gig in Lille (F) where they supported 16HP. That didn't leave a flashy mark in my neurons, but this gig did ! They played quite long (1h50 I think) and played a lot of Moondog Jr songs : Moondance, Jintro and the great Luna (Stef on the piano only), Ricochet, Ice Guitars, and others I can't remember right now. They also played Middlewave (MS=MC), an Italian-sounding song (Scusa Mi ?) and made a RnR/blues impro. The stage was crowded with fullsize cardboard models of "celebrities" I didn't know, but I recognized that of ... Rudy Trouvé ! Does EVERYBODY love that man ? Even the RTBF (Belgian french speaking telly) broadcasted a program about him & his bands.
