This was the fifth edition of this project. This time, it was focussed on Belgium, with performances by Arno, members from Ceasar, Sarah Bettens form K's Choice, Tom Barman, and Stef Kamil Carlens. Also the singer and guitar player from Daryl Ann (from Holland) contributed two songs. The artists would perform some of their own songs, but now backed up by the Metropole Orchestra.

Upon arrival, we read the bad news that Tom Barman would not perform because of an illness. Later on, some tv guy told us that Tom was not able to come because of sudden backpains. His absence meant a big loss for the evening.

Frankly, I was disappointed with the event. Only Arno and Stef Kamil Carlens were fun, and they more or less saved the night for me. Stef not only did three Moondog Jr. songs, but he also filled in the dEUS-gap caused by Tom's absence. He played the following songs:

Bombo
Shall I let this good man in
The ricochet
A shocking lack thereof
For the roses

Tomas de Smet joined Stef during "Bombo" and "The ricochet", while Sarah Bettens added her vocals to "Shall I let this good man in". I think "The ricochet" and "For the roses" were very nice. Nevertheless, I'm certain that much more could be made out of it with an entire orchestra available at hand. The arrangements of the songs were close the album arrangements.

For those who were not in the building: NPS registrered the event, and it will be broadcast in the (near?) future.
