Well, Zita in Groningen was really good, yes it was very good again. The Milkyway gig was the worst show of this tour i guess, but this was magic again. The guy who supported them in Antwerpen (i think) was also playing some songs in the Vera Club. It was alright. Forgotten his name, sorry Besides the new songs
they played also; In the intro of Ragdoll blues they played: Walk on ... (lou reed), Stir it up (bob marley) with words by Thomas de Smet, really cool, You can't always get what you want (Rolling Stones), uuuuhhh a song, which you probably all now, with the words Dream dream dream, dream dream dream dream dream. Who can tell me the singer (T&A????), Ok, i know kind of a messy review but if the other guys won't do it than i feel responsible for it. |

Since the other guy kept his review so short, I feel I have to add something. It was my first Zita Swoon concert, (I accidently found myself buying this 'I paint pictures on a wedding dress' in october, because I liked the CD-cover and after five minutes listening I decided to buy that thing) but it was really great in Vera! I have no idea how long they usually play, I also can't recall all the songs, but I do know that after the official set of approximately one hour, they came back to play another fourty minutes, to come back another time to play an additional ten or fifteen minutes....And what I liked about the show, is that they enjoyed it so much themselves (or they're very good actors). Besides their own songs and the songs stated in the other review, I remember them playing a song of Jacques Brel, and a short set of Christmas songs (it was Christmas eve after all). And I remember a lot of people singing along with Stir it up, I'm on fire, Dreamdreamdream, and dancing on a sort of Polka music and a band that really enjoyed being there, making music, trying new things, trying new texts sometimes (if I'm correct, on Jintro and the great Luna, but I'm just a newbie) and really entertaining the audience. I left Vera quite inspired, with a lot of energy to do things I can really stand for. And I did by another CD the day after Christmas. |
