I was the fourth time i saw Zita Swoon after the release of IPPOAWD. After a concert in the small hall of Vooruit, the Stef-and-Tommy-concert in Opwijk and the miniconcert in Fnac Gent, the band played the big concerthall of Vooruit this time. The concert was sold out weeks before, and a lot of people were begging for tickets at the entrance. Some girl offered 1000 Francs for my tickets, but i told her to get lost ! There was no way i was gonna sell my ticket !

We saw some people we had seen before (at the FNAC - gig and in Opwijk) and together with them we were able to get on the front row. Just in front of Stef. The support act was The Seatsniffers and i must admit : once again a brilliant support act for zita Swoon.

Maybe i can start with the playlist. After the concert i immediately climbed on stage and grabbed two playlists. I gave Bjorn one's away, but i kept Stef's one.

They didn't play the songs exactly in this order, but i can't remember the changes. They also played Jintro and the great luna, somewhere in the first part, i think just before French trombone.

It was probably the best concert of Zita Swoon i saw during this tour. The show was very good. At the back of the stage, a huge collection of old record was hanging down. The metal signs of people weren't there this time. Song For A Dead Singer was the first highlight, many more to follow. Another great version of How could i resist, Daily Reminders and of course TV Song. A funny thing happened just before How could i resist.

Stef's dog was running around at the back of the stage and suddenly he ran up on the stage in Stef's direction. Stef didn't notice it at first, until some people on the front row (like me) started calling Sammy and were hugging him. Stef told the dog to get lost and he did !

Just before TV Song, Stef started his usual talk about the meaning of the song. He couldn't get out of his word, so i helped him out. "This song is about ....euh....euh....euh" No inspiration probably, so i screamed 'chips van de Aldi', which brought the inspiration back. Someone else added 'River Cola' So Stef started telling this song is about Chips van de Aldi and River Cola and thursday nights on television... bla bla

Disco was another highlight with almost everybody dancing of waving their arms around. Impressing ! The crowd went crazy and Zita had to do two encores. In the first encore they played Worst Case Scenario, but this time without Tommy.

The last thing to mention is that the band seemed to have a lot of fun on stage. Aarich and Thomas, who were in the back of the stage, were laughing a lot and making funny faces, wile Tom and Stef were doing the same on front of the stage. Bjorn had been to the barbers, but he also was enjoying.
