I don't know if one of you has been there too, but for me, it was the BEST Moondog Jr show. I mean it. The 1st act was Die Anarchistische Abendund.... and they were very good. They told the audience they will do only one "coverke", and we had the choice between Queen, Rolling Stones or Bob Dylan (?) but in fact, they covered the famous "Suds and Soda" in their style. Great! Stef came to sing "Jintro & the great luna" also in their style. Also great! They played three other "songs" (nummer). I bought their CD which is very good. I warmly recommend it to you. So, it was a good start to get in the mood. And then came Moondog Junior. They played during more or less two hours almost everything from their "Eveyday I wear a ..." album + "Jacky" from Jacques Brel (the english version) which they now always cover in their concerts. They played almost all their songs in a different version which is very cool. "Jintro&..." in live is almost always in a speed tempo and it's cool! You don't go to a concert to hear exactly the CD! I saw them 5 times, this was the best one. The lights, the musicians, the wonderful voice of Stef (who is a great singer and musician-he doesn't play the guitar, he caress it!), everything was perfect. He has got something special in his voice. Their music is deep, full of feelings. I like that. After their show, Moondog and DAA did their little parade. Yes, like in Nighttown. They made a walk through the Botanique. The security didn't know what to do! This was really one of the coolest concert I've ever seen. It was the same feeling as the first dEUS shows... |
