Last Friday I went to see Zita Swoon in Nighttown, for the alter8-live-tour from TMF. The night started with this very-enoying dutch rock band, Rosemarys Baby. aaargh.. sorry, but I really hate this kind of stuff and in The Netherlands there's too much of it. Then came Beef, really happy Dutch reggae. Nice. And then, and then, Zita Swoon! Woow! What a great, great show they did. I saw them only on Lowlands this year (and Plage Tattoo, but I won't count that), and last friday it was much better. They gave the songs from 'Life = a sexy sanctuary' a new impuls, I found. They played a lot very funky and swinging songs and improvisations, I was so tired after the show, because I had given so much energy while dancing.Wow, that song wich starts an improvisation with pans, and then turns out to be this really swinging song! I loved it! I had a fantastic evening. Really great. And I was not the only one, they even came back two times! The first time they played a long time, and then the audience still hadn't enough (i guess the guys theirself also) and they played a nice version of Maria at last. But the three last songs I can't really remember, because I was so saturated with good music, I only stand there and smile. It was too much for me. That was it from me, this time. |
