I attended the screening of the Sunrise-movie with the Moondog Jr music. I didn't think it was earth-shattering but I did like it a lot. I thought the screen was a bit small to say the least which must have been difficult for the people in back. Of course there were a lot of people as the performance was moved from the Gruuthuuse museum (open air) to the City Hall many people could not attend it. My Japanese friend was to the point of sleeping (enjoyed the performance of the Trashcan Sinatras in London more) and my other friend was laughing all the time at the exaggeration of the actors in the movie. Which I think is pathetic and only shows your ignorance of movies. I just hope the other people did enjoy it more. The music was pretty simple at some times (mimicking of the sounds of people, trains,...) but at other times it was much more complex (the agony of the man at some stages in story). I tried to watch both Moondog Jr and the movie which proved to be difficult. I enjoyed watching Stef jumping up and down at one stage but all in all I followed the movie more.

Oh god, I was beginning to think I was the only one that liked the Sunrise-project. When I saw it in Brugge (Belgium) some months ago, I had the feeling people disliked it or at least found it rather boring. They didn't really laugh much at the jokes. But then again that's how the mentality is in our city: not a lot of humour going around. Especially my friends disliked the movie and the music. They found it rather simplistic and the acting ridiculous. I have to admit I don't find it as fantastic as you probably do but it was still entertaining.
