Saturday 30th December Cedric reports that Zita Swoon made an appearance as part of a "Belgian Gig" on Canal+. They played 'My heart belong to someone else (I hope It was mine)' It should be rebroadcast tonight at 19h30.
Friday 1st December

Straight from the horse's mouth (Stef and Laurence). A flash site has been created alongside the shockwave site. It will open in January 2001.

Stef will be having an exhibition in September 2001. The new album has been mixed and is 'very pop.'

Zita Swoon have parted company with Teddy Hillaert of Rock Werchter. Laurence Bourgeois, with an assistant, Marie have taken over the group management.

Sunday 24th September The following is reported on the dEUS list " It is decided that an official website will be opened to All the members of Zita Swoon are involved on their own projects whilst Stef and Tom Barman will renew their songwriting relationship. Moondog-Louis Hardin dies, but there are no plans to change the band name, so we can expect the next album to still be under the name 'Zita Swoon'. " Amusingly, this is almost word for word the text that Marie has written for the site.
Saturday 23rd September Murze informs us that the official site has an access address at http://www.zitaswoon.com/index2.htm
Wednesday 13th September Dirk provides us with this news about the Jeff Buckley film..."Stef Kamil Carlens will perform a tribute to Jeff Buckly on a "Jeff Buckley Memorial Night", Thursday september 21 in the Nighttown in Rotterdam, where the film "Goodbye And Hello" will also be shownin avant-première. "
Friday 1st September Stef is singing a tribute to Jeff in a movie bio of Jeff Buckley. This will be released soon in Dutch cinemas. VPRO (dutch tv) is reported to be broadcasting it in October. Article in De Morgen today. See the media pages

Murze reports a no show on the rumoured secret gig at De Scene, Antwerp, Belgium

Friday 4th August

No update on the official site. The opening date has been pushed back fortnightly since the beginning of February. However, it takes advantage of what shockwave has to offer and is very colourful! The original design was going to be based on a blueprint, but this concept was abandoned. When it goes online, it will be found at http://www.zitaswoon.com

Friday 7th July

Zita Swoon will be performing on the last night, Sunday 9th July at the Dour Festival in Belgium

Sunday 11th June

"Hey, I really want you to know this ... Stef told me yesterday that we'll hear a disco song on the next album called "The Banana King" :) the new album is being recorded home for one week and is due to be released in january 2001.

Wednesday 19th January

The band have been nominated as 'best alternative band' in the Dutch Edison Awards

Friday 7th January

Zita Swoon will play at the Belgian Dour Festival this year (6 - 9th July), they are also rumoured to be playing a festival in Vlaanderen. Thanks Alex

Tuesday 4th January

The official Zita Swoon site is now scheduled for March along with the Plage Tattoo CD

Monday 3rd January

The afterparty special guest DJ at the Athens concert on Saturday 8th January is said to be Steph Dewaele from Soulwax.
