Rumours are abound that there will be a special guest DJ at the aftershow for the Zita Swoon concert in Athens.

Lawrence (Bourgeois) has told Pedro that the Plage Tattoo CD will be available in Jan/Feb 2000 from their official site.

Sunday 5th December

Stef confirms that he is working on 'Glittering the Millennium'. He records the track in his home studio on the night following a Plage Tattoo performance in Antwerp. Marie who was originally going to appear in Plage Tattoo with her actor father, Dirk is rumoured to be singing on it

Zita Swoon will perform with Kiss My Jazz on New Year's Eve

Zita Swoon announce a Greek date. They will play on 8th January, preceded by a 'tribute party' (thanks Rick) on 14th December at Club Decadence

Sunday 28th November

Dirk brings us news that Stef will be working with Rudy Trouve, among other Belgian artists, on a Slade cover track for a glamrock compilation album 'Glittering the Millennium.' It is scheduled for release at the start of 2000 on PIAS

Friday 26th November

At the Kort Film Festival, Kortenburg (Belgium), 'Maria' and 'Disco' are awarded 4th and 5th place respectively in the videoclips section

Tuesday 9th November

SKC is on Trendspotting (CANVAS), talking about fashion. He says that if a man wears a dress or a skirt it doesn't necessarily mean that you're gay

On 18th and 19th November, Plage Tattoo will do two shows at the Teatro da Trinidade in Lisbon, Portugal. Tickets are available from CCB or from the theatre box office

Saturday 30th October

More information on the next ZS CD. This is what the Belgian Pop and Rock Archives have to say, " The group (or at least Stef, Bjorn & Aarich) are currently gearing up for "Plage Tattoo", a music & dance & theater play in association with Les Ballets C de la B. There will be a cd of this project that will be sold at the Zita Swoon "merchandising booth" (not in the regular shops)." Dirk Houbrechts of the Archives says "I don't know about the current state of that CD, but the plan was to sell the CD only at the gigs of 'Plage Tattoo'. My guess is that the fuss and success of 'My Bond with You and your Planet, Disco!' got in the way." A new label, Chikaree, has been formed for the release of this album and other Zita Swoon side-projects.

Louis Hardin AKA Moondog died Wednesday night at his home in Germany. Aged 83 years. Zita Swoon will not revert to the name Moondog Jr.

ZS will play in Berlin in October - There will be an official ZS website - Stef has been writing with Tom for a couple of days but no releases are planned - The new CD will be again a soundtrack along the lines of Sunrise

Monday 9th August

Zita Swoon invite Urbanus to perform two songs with them at Dranouter (link to Tine's review) the upcoming weekend. Het Laatste Nieuws gave it a thumbs up saying Zita Swoon was the best act at Dranouter. A videoclip is put online at http://www.folkdranouter.be/. Part of the Zita Swoon set will be screened the following Saturday at 23h15 on Belgian TV (Canvas).

July 23rd

The Disco! link to discography remix ep is released. There are mixes by Soulwax, Rudy Trouve, Daan Stuyven and Starflam, Tom Pintens, Mac Bart, a homerecording by Stef, a live version and the video

July 4th

Stef works as a dresser for Belgian designer, Walter Van Beirendonck. He was also one of fifty models showcasing Van Beirendonck's Summer 2000 collection in Paris

This reflects Stef's interest in clothes. He has said in several interviews that he makes his many of his own clothes because of his dissatisfaction otherwise

Rumours about a renewed cooperation between Stef and Tom Barman are confirmed in a French TV interview

Plage Tattoo/Circumstances premiered at the Holland Festival, Amsterdam in the Netherlands today.

In Belgium, the new Kiss My Jazz album, 'In A Service Station' ("a collection of service station truckdriving songs") is released. Although Stef was a major contributor to this album, he's too busy to tour with Kiss My Jazz to promote the album.

The single and video 'My Bond with you and your Planet: Disco!' are released. This may be followed up in October with a limited edition 8-track remix CD including mixes by Rudy Trouve and Soulwax. This release will include the video as a bonus-track.

Zita Swoon go to jail! Not as 'clients', but they perform together with Seatsniffers in the Antwerp jail, during 'Jailrock happening'

Zita Swoon have asked Charles Bukowski's widow's permission to cover one of his poems. She claims she likes Zita Swoon's music, 'cause it reminds her of 'hippie music'

'I Paint Pictures on a Wedding Dress' is released in the UK today

The video shoot for Disco took place today. Test shoots took place in the Monty in Antwerpen. The original concept for the video was to have younger looking versions of Zita Swoon who could also dance. This idea was abandoned.

February 6th

Today Zita Swoon are playing a mini-gig in the FNAC store, Antwerp as well as recording a 2 Meter Session.

January 29th

'Maria' the first single from IPPOAWD is released today. The limited edition release contains three unreleased songs, whilst the video is part-animation, part-film

Zita Swoon have been awarded a first-time grant of 1,5 million BEF under the Flemish music bill.

Stef, Aarich and Bjorn are working on an experimental theatre/dance project that will premiere at the Holland Festival this year (1999). A tour will follow around October. The working title is 'Plage Tattoo/Circumstances'
