ZITA SWOON Vanavond in "2 Meter Sessies": Zita Swoon. De Belgische band combineert alternatieve pop met theater. Zita Swoon is het geesteskind van Stef Kamil Carlens. Deze kleurrijke figuur zat vroeger in dEUS, zo'n beetje het bekendste alternatieve bandje iot Antwerpen. Carlens neemt "2 Meter Sessies" mee naar zijn thuisstad en vertelt over de popmuziek die daar de laatste jaren flink is opgebloeid. Op enkele onverwachte locaties doet hij geïmproviseerde sessies met Zita Swoon. Andere "2 Meter"-opnamen stammen van het vorig jaar oktober gehouden Crossing Border Festival in Den Haag. Op Crossing Border komen jaarlijks muziek, literatuur, poëzie en andere kunsten broederlijk tezamen. Een perfect podium dus voor Zita Swoon, want zelf combineert de band ook graag de diverse culturele vaardigheden. Zo gaat op het Holland Festival in Juni een heuse theatershow van start, waarvoor de kleurrijke Stef zelf de kostuums heeft ontworpen. Creatief mannetje dus. BEAUTIFUL POPTHEATER FROM BELGIUM
ZITA SWOONTonight in "2 Meter Sessies": Zita Swoon. The Belgium group combines alternative pop with theater. Zita Swoon is the brainchild of Stef Kamil Carlens. This colorful character used to be in dEUS, the most wellknown alternative band from Antwerp. Carlens takes "2MeterSessies" to his hometown and tells about popmusic that has been flourishing there the last years. At a few unexpected locations he and Zita Swoon do improvised sessions. Other "2Meter"-recordings are from the last year held Crossing Border festival in The Hague. At Crossing Border, every year music, literature, poetry and other arts come together brotherly. A perfect stage for Zita Swoon, because the band likes to combine the various cultural skills. At the Holland festival in June, a real theatershow will play, for which the colorful Stef designed the costumes himself. A creative figure so to say. |
