in the media

Here is an archive of all the media appearances known to me (thanks to the hard work of Paul and many others). Being in England, I don't hear much, so I'd be grateful for your help by letting me know when you hear anything (however small) about them in your local or national press - send me a transcription and I'll put it online. Corrections are also welcome zitainfo@mandarinmedia.com

Many thanks! Share the wealth.

" They started to show a piece about the consumption of alcohol by the young ones and suddenly.....an image came and I thought well something is familiar there I took a good look and it was an image shot in Bairro Alto in Lisbon, where you can see a group of people siting on the ground and talking, in the middle was Mr. Stef Kamil Carlens :-))) Around him were some Portuguese fans talking to Stef. The image lasted for about 7 seconds. It was funny because it was completely unexpected."

Polido

" I was there, it was when Zita Swoon came to Lisbon for the Semana Academica. We were sitted in front of the Catacumbas bar. I remember two guys taping us, and that pissed off Stef KC, because he thought that they were taping him (the very famous singer Stef Kamil Carlens :-) ). It was kinda obvious it was just a coincidence, but the situation was rather comic. I remember we talked about dEUS, and I remember Stef mentioning Magdalena. He said he liked that song."

" MTV:new (one of the greatest shows on MTV) finished the show today with Zita Swoon's "Disco".. that's great, cause MTV never shows Zita Swoon or anything dEUS-related. Actually they never show dEUS at all (well sometimes but not much). Anyway, I was really surprised, and it's a pretty good song, but the video is a total dEUS rip-off it's like 'Instant Street' with 'Theme from Turnpike'."

With a little help from my friends

" On April 21, 'Bombo' and 'Shall I let this good man in' were broadcast. 'Bombo' is done by Stef and Tomas, whereas the second song is performed by Stef and Sarah Bettens of K's Choice. The music is performed by the dutch Metropole Orchestra in newly created arrangements for the songs. Tom Barman was scheduled to be there, too, but because of back problems, he was not able to come. Therefore, Stef filled the gap and did (amongst others) 'Roses'. This was shown at April 28."
